Team Trinidad’s 2017 community involvement

At Trinidad, we’re proud to give back to the communities where we work and live. It’s a responsibility our team takes just as seriously as providing value for our customers and our shareholders.

From coordinating school supply drives to volunteering countless lunch hours to make sandwiches for those less fortunate, our team is proud to dedicate time and resources to great causes. Just as our involvement enriches the lives of those in the community, it brings us so much joy to be able to lend a hand.

Here are some of the ways we gave back in 2017:

GoFundMe campaign for employees by employees

Several members of Trinidad’s family suffered devastating damage to their homes from Hurricane Harvey in the southern United States. To help, we created a GoFundMe campaign for Trinidad employees by Trinidad employees. The company matched employee donations and, thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were able to distribute much-needed funds among members of our team affected by the storm.

Office furniture donated to Hurricane Harvey-affected Kingwood Urgent Care Group

In addition to volunteering around Houston after Hurricane Harvey, our Houston office donated their extra office furniture to Kingwood Urgent Care Group who lost all their equipment in the storm.

Post-earthquake support in Mexico

Immediately after central Mexico’s earthquake in September, our office in Villahermosa collected donations for the Red Cross to help supply food, water and medicine to those affected.

In addition, a few members of our team in Mexico took it upon themselves to help further by creating school supply packages for children; supplying clothing; and working with vendors to supply goods to the post-earthquake effort.

Helping those who need it most

It’s not uncommon to find our team helping out at the Calgary Drop-In Centre throughout the year. During the holidays, we also donated to local food banks and supported Adopt-a-Family, Calgary’s Women’s Shelter, and Edmonton’s “Give Me Shelter” campaign.

Educating students on new technology and solving today’s wells

Our US division’s VP of Business Development and Contracts shared his years of industry experience with up-and-coming oil and gas professionals in 2017. He was honoured to present to engineering students at Louisiana State University and Ole Miss on new technology and solving today’s complicated wells.

School supply and Christmas toy drives in Texas

In support of the DePelchin Children’s Center in Houston, Texas, our team hosted a school supply drive in July and sponsored four children’s Christmases in December. Our west Texas crews also continued their Christmas toy drive tradition!

Rescuing furry friends in Houston

Our team’s community efforts even included furry friends in 2017. In August, our Houston office teamed-up with Corridor Rescue to rescue stray dogs. Our partnership included fostering dogs, fundraising, volunteering at the kennel, and hosting supply drives during Hurricane Harvey.

We’re proud to give back!

Not included were the numerous charity golf tournaments we participated in and charity dinners we were part of this past year. Our team is truly proud to give back to the communities where we operate!
